Duo Infernale calls it quits, maybe

German drum n bass duo Infernale are on hiatus or possibly, done for good. Duo Infernale are most famous for their moody, atmospheric yet approachable dancefloor tunes. Lost In The World is a great example of their style:

They took their time with tunes which resulted in a lower ouput but really ensured quality in ther back catalogue, which you can find here http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/duo_infernale.

Duo Infernale member Overdoze says: ” Duo Infernale will be dead for a while or maybe forever but… …i ll keep on producing under my new alias “electrolyte”!

So go check out his new stuff, it already sounds promising: http://www.myspace.com/3lectrolyte .

Here is a clip of Charlotte’s Song by Furney, i think its a gorgeous piece of summertime drum n bass, works equally well on rainy days. Still unsigned the last I heard…let’s hope it sees a release. For more info about Furney, http://www.djfurney.co.uk/ or http://www.myspace.com/djfurney

Remembering Maxwell Harmon

justindz:

I’m sad to report that one of my good friends, Max died a few days ago.  He was a core member of a very tight group of friends who hung out in town, at the old used book store and at Drew’s comic book store.  We spent so much time together, collectively, that we have an entire Clockwork Orange-esque (in size, mostly) lexicon of slang that’s un-intelligible by outsiders.

Many of you don’t know Max, I’m sure.  My thoughts go out to his family.  He was a well-loved and respected dude.  To reference a favorite moment in Max/Shepherdstown history, his death has been a real swift kick in the goodberries.

I think for nerd night, I’m going to drink a DP (sans straw) in Max’s honor.  And that’s not just joke yoke.

Peace, man.

I met max while visiting DC once. It was fleeting but he struck me as a good guy. I had hoped to meet up again when I was in the area as I go to WV every year. RIP and my condolences to you justindz.
