This is one of those songs that has floated around in the periphery of my conciousness since I was a child growing up in Miami in the 80s. Back then it was fishing, humidity, sunkist and songs like this that started to mold my brain.
Finally this year i picked up Earth Wind and Fire’s Greatest Hits and I was happy to find so many songs i recognized and liked were by them. September, Shining Star, That’s the Way of the World, Let’s Groove, After The Love is Gone (which i probably would have told you was by Chicago if you asked) and this little piece of pop perfection FANTASY. The lyrics are nonsensical but the melodies are just really great happy/sad stuff. Enjoy.
